Core Values

MISSION

Traditions communities will maximize the quality of life for each and every resident by providing the highest level of care and service.

Traditions, like many communities, has beautiful buildings with ample amenities. But our daily interactions with residents, the small acts of kindness and care, are the foundation of rich relationships and full lives.

CULTURE

An organization’s culture is shaped by the attitude and behavior of its employees. Traditions is committed to hire and retain people who:

  • Get to know residents and their loved ones on a personal level.
  • Care about the needs of others and genuinely try to meet those needs.
  • Truly like people and interacting positively with them.

CORE VALUES

We believe resident quality of life is maximized when we promote the following values:

Dignity

Service with dignity shall permeate all interactions we have with residents, families, fellow staff and visitors. It includes how we address each person and how we respond to their requests and needs. We will honor the value of each individual life by displaying respect and dignity throughout our communities.

Important vs. Necessary

It is important that we understand the emotional and spiritual needs of our residents and families, their likes/dislikes and what makes them happy. Each person has a basic need for compassion and understanding, while many are not eager or may find it difficult to share their innermost thoughts, desires and feelings. Our staff is trained to be watchful of opportunities to listen carefully when residents begin to communicate.

While necessary duties are a large part of our jobs, we cannot let them crowd out the opportunity for this important interaction. Important interactions may even take precedence over the necessary day-to-day duties of our jobs.

Socialization

Socialization empowers and encourages residents who may be suffering from losses and depression to regain their zest for life. We encourage residents to get involved and to take part in community events and activities.

Studies show that residents who interact socially focus less on health issues than residents who remain secluded. This interaction is also good for intellectual stimulation. In most cases, socialization also encourages physical activity.

Purposeful interaction with family, staff and other residents promotes friendships and activities that are positive for both mental and physical health.

Choices

We encourage and empower residents to make their own choices whenever possible, including choices regarding food, showering, toiletries, clothing, hair, make-up, activities, sleeping and TV.

Research indicates that residents need the ability to make choices regarding their daily life and that this provides an ongoing sense of self-worth. We will offer residents as many choices as possible early in their day, encouraging them to stay mentally involved and communicative as their day progresses. Additionally, our staff learns more about each resident’s values and wishes, and can better serve them on a personal level.

Service

We are in the business of serving others. The residents in our communities expect and deserve the type of service delivered in 5-star restaurants and resorts. This kind of service comes from getting to know the people you serve and anticipating, then exceeding their needs and expectations.

It is an honor to serve the residents entrusted to our care with kindness and professionalism.

When we practice our Core Values, a culture of genuine loving care comes naturally.

I would highly recommend this place. Staff is the friendliest I have ever been around. The wellness director, Leanne and the front desk, Kelly greets everyone with a smile and genuinely cares about every resident and their families. Great, clean, bright atmosphere!

Dear Sherrie, I can’t thank you enough for literally getting my mom’s apartment ready for her to move! You went above and beyond to help me out. I’ll be forever grateful. I ordered 2 pillows, an extra set of sheets and extra pillow cases for mom. I’ll drop them off when I receive the shipment. Traditions is lucky to have your expertise when it comes to warmth and kindness. I feel confident mom will benefit as well! Blessings.

Because Traditions of Lebanon is brand new, everything was sparkling clean. We saw the independent living places and then we saw the cafeteria and all that kind of stuff. We saw the little duplexes. It was brand new, and nobody else has been in it. It was very nice and very upscale. The staff was very helpful and gave me all kinds of information. You got one meal a day with their independent living and they had a little bar, a little cinema room, a nice little cafeteria, and a dog park.

After reaching an age of inability to care for and keep up the 2600 sq. foot house, 20 acres of land and assorted house hold and farm equipment, my husband and I decided it was time to down size. Receiving a flyer from Traditions of Lebanon at the Lebanon YMCA, we immediately sought out information of this style of living. Management of Traditions offered several possibilities to make our move simple to easy. We chose to use Relocations Planners which sold our property, disposed of items unable to move and actually moved us into a villa of Traditions of Lebanon. We have found the independent living facility, Management, staff, Chefs and food of Traditions of Lebanon be excellent, as well as the other residents. We have already made some good friends.— Highly recommend.

We have been very happy with Traditions of Lebanon so far, the staff members are super friendly and actually show genuine concern about the residents well being. They make sure they are comfortable and are on top of their medication, they are not afraid to ask questions either. We don't have much feedback regarding the meals and dining service, from what we have heard the meals sound great but they are not yet allowing the families to eat with the residents in the dining hall. The families however can eat with their loved ones in their own room. Based on the activities schedule it seems like they have quite a lot to offer, our loved one is getting out more and socializing - she just seems brighter. We would recommend this community to others.
