Traditions of Lebanon Resident Recognized for Decades of Supporting the Arts

We are excited to share that Rebecca McLaughlin, a resident at Traditions of Lebanon, is being awarded the Community Service Award, Volunteer of the Arts by Warren County to recognize her decades of volunteering and support of the arts on February 15th 6:30-8:30 at The Harmon Museum.
This award recognizes Rebecca’s decades of volunteering and support of the arts
Rebecca began volunteering when her mother told her to “get busy” when she expressed boredom as a teen. She started volunteering with The Red Cross and a local animal shelter. In high school, she found and fell in love with the theater. From that moment, her passion has always been sharing her love of the arts with others. She was a founding member of many arts organizations in Lebanon, Mason and Warren County, and has been a steadfast supporter since moving to Lebanon in 1973. If there was something theater-related happening in the area, she was involved!
Her biggest love has always been the theatre, and while not a founding member (missed that by just a couple of years), she is the longest active member of Mason Community Players at 50+ years and counting! Mason Community Players are also recognized at the ceremony for their dedication to the Arts in Warren County.
Rebecca is a retired Lebanon City Schools teacher who taught Language Arts and, you guessed it, ran the junior high and high school theatre programs. She graduated from Oakwood High School, The University of Cincinnati, and completed her Master’s in Education at the University of Dayton.
Her family consists of her dog, two daughters, three grandsons, a granddaughter, and one great-grandson. (in that order – just kidding).
Rebecca has been a resident at Traditions of Lebanon for about eight months. In her time here, she has already become a popular and beloved member of our vibrant community.
Congratulations!
