Sandy and Tom Paint the Town Red
Christmas came early for a couple at Traditions of Lebanon when they found themselves the lucky recipients of a pair of tickets to see the Reds play the Orioles on Friday May 3rd.
The tickets, in the diamond section at Great American Ballpark, were courtesy of Fox19 and could not have gone to a nicer couple.
It was serendipitous that the randomly selected couple just so happened to have a particular affinity for baseball. In fact, they went to a Reds’ game for their honeymoon (many years ago), so the Reds are near and dear to their hearts.
Sandy and Tom have lived at Traditions of Lebanon for about a year. they love it here and are happy with the community of friends they’ve built. They were very excited when they learned that they were selected to attend the Reds game on Friday. Sandy was an umpire for girl’s fast-pitch softball for many years, and Tom was an umpire for Little League baseball. They are also very active with their grandsons and are teaching them how to play ball.
A rain delay didn’t deter Sandy and Tom from having a great time. They took advantage of the downtime to enjoy some delicious food. “The food was great, the seats were incredible, and the service at the seats was just wonderful,” Sandy said.
While the couple was disappointed with the outcome of the game, the Reds fell to the Orioles 3-0, they had a great time making a wonderful memory at the ballpark. “We were so grateful for this experience,” Sandy said. “Thank you again, so thoughtful!”
